Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO is seeking an experienced RN to provide nursing capacity leadership for a specific shift and unit. This onsite role is part-time, with 48 hours per pay period, working days.

The position emphasizes mentoring, directing patient flow, and ensuring timely care, with responsibilities including coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers, while upholding quality and safety standards. This role supports new or expanding Acute Care Surgical units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved RN program.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of nursing experience.
• State licensure as an RN with BLS; relevant certification as position requires.

Responsibilities

• Provides mentoring and coaching during a shift to support patient flow and teamwork.
• Provides direct patient care as needed and assists with discharge barriers.
• Participates in capacity management meetings to promote adequate patient flow.
• Performs admissions, discharges, and coordinate transfers as required.
• Works with critical thinking and minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
