Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Jersey Shore University Medical Center to deliver exceptional nursing care and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform evidence-based nursing, administer medications with barcode systems, and document at the point of care to support safe transitions and optimized patient outcomes. NJ license required; RN residency or 6+ months' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months nursing experience or active Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• ACLS/CCRN preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per current evidence-based policies and standards to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nurses and other health care team members about status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document at point-of-care assessments, care plans and evaluations.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary discharge for safe transition and continuation of care.
