You will collaborate with the care team, uphold safety, maintain documentation in EHR, pursue professional development, and adhere to ethical standards while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state(s) where practicing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution to foster team collaboration.
• Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and supports integrated, unbiased patient care.
• Appropriately delegates to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient needs and adheres to department policies.
