Job summary

Rio Grande Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with department standards and nursing best practices. The RN collaborates with physicians and care teams to assess, perform, teach, and manage care, advocating for patients and families while upholding the hospital's values and goals.

Responsibilities include regular pain assessment, timely documentation of care, responsive patient support, and educating patients

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas.
• Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) required.
• ACLS/BLS certifications within 30 days of start date.
• TNCC and PALS certifications within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality patient-centered care.
• Document administration of care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up steps.
• Promote self-management through lifestyle recommendations.
