Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the patient care team. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while maintaining a supportive environment and upholding professional standards.

The RN will participate in performance improvement, pursue ongoing professional development, and contribute to shared governance, mentorship, and the recruitment of nurses.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RN license applicable in the state (single-state) or RN-Compact (multistate) as required.
• All certifications must be obtained upon hire unless stated otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care and Care Coordination: monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions and contribute to care planning.
• Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction: address patient needs, educate patients and families, ensure confidentiality and safety.
• Performance Improvement: contribute to improvements in care delivery and patient outcomes.
• Professional Competency and Growth: maintain licenses, complete required trainings, pursue development opportunities.
• Professional Leadership: mentor others, uphold confidentiality and professional standards, support governance and recruitment.
