Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland is seeking an experienced RN to deliver and document nursing care across assigned units, following provider orders and established standards. You will lead nursing staff, observe and report patient conditions, and maintain accurate care documentation while upholding the system's mission and service standards.

Preferred BSN and certifications; extensive unit knowledge and hands-on patient care skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare provider or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Knowledge of nursing instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Knowledge of medical asepsis principles.
• Ability to maintain positive working relations with staff and medical team.
• Physical coordination and dexterity; PRN/float staff require unit experience.
• Completion of unit-specific competencies as defined; ACLS/PALS/PEARS/NRP may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plans for, delivers, documents and evaluates nursing care for patients per orders.
• Directs activities of assigned nursing personnel.
• Observes, assesses and reports on patient condition.
• Maintains accurate documentation of care and patient response.
