Job summary

Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct clinical care per shift, assess and plan patient care, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality nursing care. You will support the CNO with safe practices, resource management, and adherence to standards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, active licensure, and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on unit policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice in the state; BLS required, ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe nursing care to patients.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the nursing process.
• Administer medications per hospital policy.
• Supervise staff; support CNO to ensure safe care and resource management.
• Be familiar with emergency codes and hospital procedures.
