Valley Baptist Health System in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct clinical patient care per shift, coordinate care, and supervise staff under the CNO guidance.

You will ensure safety, follow hospital policies, administer medications, and participate in emergency response. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and active state license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license, certification, or registration to practice nursing as required by state law.
• BLS + ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Follow established safety, risk management, QA, and infection control standards to discharge patients with optimal care.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administer medications safely and timely per hospital policy.
• Fulfill hospital incident command system (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies.
• Know and adhere to hospital emergency codes and related procedures.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (preferred)
