Qualifications

• New hires must obtain ACLS and/or PALS within 6 months if coming from non-pediatric background.
• Strong knowledge of disease processes and critical thinking in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delegate patient care to ancillary personnel as directed.
• Precept nursing students and new hires as needed.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient status and communicate changes to the team.
• Collaborate across disciplines for disposition, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
• Provide education to patients and families tailored to age and culture.
