Job summary

St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care across disciplines. The role emphasizes coordination, discharge planning, and individualized care plans, with day/evening shifts and involvement in rounds.

Qualifications

Current CT RN license.
Graduate of accredited nursing school with BSN preferred.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS.
PACU and/or ICU/ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Implements and monitors patient care plans; communicates patient condition.
Acts as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
Provides individualized care addressing physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and age-related needs.
Delegates care to nursing staff to meet patient needs and optimize performance.
Participates in daily interdisciplinary rounds and contributes to outcomes.
Follows ANA standards and ethics in nursing practice.
Develops and revises individualized plans of care.
Engages in professional development activities.
