Job summary

Kern River Transitional Care Center in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for all shifts. The ideal candidate holds a California RN license, has experience in skilled nursing or post-acute settings, and displays excellent communication, teamwork, and infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in California.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or hospital settings preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Team-oriented, empathetic, and dependable with strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ conditions and assess needs to provide high-quality care.
• Observe and document symptoms, reporting changes promptly to physicians.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Train and supervise LPNs and CNAs as needed.
• Maintain hygiene and safety protocols across the facility.
• Provide emergency response support during critical situations.
