Job summary

Kern River Transitional Care Center in Bakersfield, CA is hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for all shifts on a part-time schedule. You will deliver high-quality care to residents, monitor conditions, and collaborate with physicians.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, adherence to safety and infection control, and opportunities for training and advancement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in California.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or hospital settings preferred.
• Strong understanding of nursing care practices and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ conditions and assess needs to provide high-quality care.
• Observe and document symptoms, report changes to physicians promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
• Perform essential nursing procedures (e.g., vitals, injections, wound care).
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Maintain hygiene and safety protocols across the facility.
• Provide emergency response and support during critical situations.
• Train and supervise LPNs and CNAs as needed.
• Foster a compassionate and respectful environment for residents and families.
• Participate in continuing education and staff development initiatives.

Salary Range: $42-$46hr BOE
Schedule: Part-Time | NOC Shifts Available
