Job summary

Bloomington Meadows Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Staff Nurse (RN) to deliver, coordinate, and evaluate patient care within our psychiatric programs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary health team to address the physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs of patients aged adults and youths as applicable.

Current Indiana Nursing license required; BSN preferred. Non-exempt, on-site position with opportunities for professional development and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
• Two years of psychiatric-healthcare facility experience preferred.
• Indiana license to practice required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the health team.
• Apply nursing process and standards of care and practices.
• Provide age-appropriate care to patients served, including education and safety criteria.

Skills

Two years psychiatric experience

The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who delivers, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The Staff Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR/AED/First Aid certification, non violent physical crisis intervention completion & appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam.
