Bloomington Meadows Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana, is hiring a Staff Nurse (RN) to deliver, coordinate and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with the health team. You will apply the nursing process and standards of care to patients of various ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an Indiana RN license, CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and the ability to pass a medication administration exam.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
• Licensed to practice as an Indiana RN.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification and crisis-intervention training required.
• Must pass a medication administration exam.

Responsibilities

The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who delivers, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The Staff Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR/AED/First Aid certification, non violent physical crisis intervention completion & appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam.
