Job summary

Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for the Mt Pleasant, TX location to provide direct patient care in the surgical environment. You will monitor pre/postoperative status and assist the surgeon and anesthesiologist to maintain optimal patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado.
• ACLS certification or ability to get within the first 90 days of employment.
• BCLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patient.
• Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
• Assist with the maintenance of PRE-OP/PACU equipment and inventory.
• Monitor patient’s physiological status in the immediate, pre/postoperative environment.
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously about patient conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of airway management and procedures and the use of equipment.
• Carry out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments and procedures.
• Coordinate patient care: explain and educate patient/family as necessary.
• Protect patient’s privacy and rights.

What you will do…

• Provide direct care to patient.
