Job summary

Treasure Coast Center for Surgery is seeking a RN PACU (Full Time) to provide continuous nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

The PACU RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, assist physicians in procedures, and maintain sterile technique as needed. Requirements include an accredited RN program, active state RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family care in preparation for discharge.
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Treasure Coast Center for Surgery

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
