Mercy St. Louis PACU is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate post-anesthesia care in a Phase I unit. You will collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to monitor patients from recovery to stable status.

The role requires strong critical care skills, BLS certification, and a commitment to Mercy's mission. Shifts are 12 hours, three days per week, with weekend/holiday call as needed.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited RN program and active RN license.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Strong critical care and postoperative PACU experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care in PACU after surgery.
• Coordinate with anesthesia team to monitor patients.
• Monitor patients with ventilators, lines, and drains as needed.
• Participate in weekend and holiday call.

Position Details: Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital St. Louis PACU. Now Hiring - Full time. 1100-2330 3 x 12 hours shifts per week.

PACU RN | Mercy St. Louis

The PACU at Mercy St. Louis is a Phase I recovery unit caring for patients after surgery or procedures requiring general anesthesia. Nurses work closely with the anesthesia team and care for patients ranging from routine post-op recoveries to critically ill ICU-level patients.

Strong critical care skills are essential, including experience with ventilators, airway management, vasoactive drips, chest tubes, drains, central lines, and arterial lines. The unit supports a variety of surgical specialties, including ENT, General Surgery, GU, GYN, Bariatrics, and Pediatrics.

PACU nurses care for both adult and pediatric patients, participate in weekend and holiday call, and work in a highly collaborative, self-covered team environment. ICU, ED, Critical Care, or PACU experience is strongly preferred.
