Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in the Preoperative and PACU units in Dayton, Ohio. This day-shift assignment offers a 13-week contract and requires strong perioperative nursing skills.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, supporting patient and family-centered outcomes. Pediatric experience preferred; BLS and PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• PALS certification required.
• Permanent Ohio or Compact RN license at submission.
• 2–3 years of preoperative and/or PACU experience, pediatric preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Preoperative and PACU settings.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop nursing care plans based on individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Perform airway management and monitor patient outcomes.
• Conduct discharge teaching and provide support to patients and families.
• Float between Preoperative and PACU areas as patient care needs require.

Schedule/Shift

Two positions for Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and two positions for four 10-hour shifts per week, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Standards of Professional Nursing Practice established by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient and family outcomes through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. The RN fosters a patient- and family-centered environment while demonstrating flexibility and serving as a change agent to meet the evolving needs of patients, families, and the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Preoperative and PACU settings.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of recent Preoperative and/or PACU nursing experience.
• Pediatric experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required.
• Must have a permanent Ohio or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission.
