Mass General Brigham in Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiology/Pacemaker-ICD Clinic at North Shore Medical Center. The role requires opportunity to perform in-clinic device checks, monitor remote transmissions, assess arrhythmias, and educate patients and families about device care and activity.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a Pacemaker/ICD setting, licensure as an RN, and a nursing degree (certificate/diploma acceptable).

Qualifications

• RN with current license and nursing degree.
• 3+ years of experience in Pacemaker/ICD clinics.
• Experience with device checks and remote monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and/or assist with in-clinic device checks and interrogations.
• Monitor and review remote device transmissions and alerts, escalating abnormal findings as appropriate.
• Assess patients for symptoms, arrhythmias, and potential device-related complications.
• Provide patient and family education regarding device care, remote monitoring, activity, and symptoms requiring medical attention.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, device representatives, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate follow-up care and communicate device-related information across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Document device evaluations, clinical findings, interventions, and follow-up plans accurately and timely.
• Support the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within the hospital's Cardiology/Pacemaker-ICD Clinic.

Schedule - 30 Hours per week

The Registered Nurse manages all aspects of the nursing process and the delivery of patient and family centered care. The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and authority to request and use governing and administrative resources, technological and support systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts necessary to manage and deliver quality, cost effective patient care.
