Job summary

The Community Care RN provides and supervises professional, independent nursing care for Providence patients. Care is based on the nursing process and aligns with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, applying assessment, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching and supervision to promote patients' health and independence.

Qualifications

• Oregon Registered Nurse license is required.
• Within 30 days of hire: American Heart Association BLS.
• Relevant certifications as specified by the Nurse Manager.

Job description

The Community Care RN provides and supervises professional, independent nursing care for Providence patients. Care is based in the nursing process and is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act. Applies knowledge of assessing, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching and supervising professional nursing care delivery that promotes patients' optimal health and independence. All Providence professional nursing practice requires a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise. In addition, development and validation of knowledge and skills essential to the assigned department, patient population and/or practice area are crucial. This position may be required to rotate through a weekend shift.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Relevant training applicable to the position, as specified by the Nurse Manager.


• Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License


• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association


• Upon hire: Relevant certifications applicable to the position, as specified by the Nurse Manager

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing.


• 1 year Home health RN experience.
