Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a registered nurse to perform nursing care and treatment modalities for ambulatory and inpatient settings. You will assist physicians with procedures, manage wounds, administer medications, and document care.

You will triage patient calls, educate patients, prepare exam rooms, and ensure compliance with policy. Requirements include an associate degree in nursing, PA/NJ license, one year of acute/urgent care experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• NJ or PA license based on primary state office location required.
• Must attain second out of state RN license (NJ or PA) within three months from date of hire.
• Experience: One year experience in an acute, urgent care or outpatient setting.
• Other Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider
• Knowledge and Skills: Excellent customer service skills.
• Special Training: Proficient computer skills.
• Usual Work Day: 8 Hours

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care/treatment modalities appropriate for individual patients.
• Assists LIP with procedures, removes sutures, cleans wounds, applies dressings.
• Administrates medications accurately and safely.
• Triages patient medical phone calls, assessing the patients' status, and schedules according to established protocol.
• Prepares patients, exam rooms and medical records for scheduled and non-scheduled patients.
• Documents patient records according to established protocol.
