Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced RN to deliver professional bedside care across general units. You will assess needs, plan and delegate care, and evaluate patient responses while maintaining accountability for outcomes during your shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state board School of Nursing is required.
• Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License is required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained during orientation. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient population.
• Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
• Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently.

Overview

The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

Qualifications

Education required: Graduate of state board School of Nursing

License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required. BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient population.

Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted

Additional skills/abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
