Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital setting. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will perform assessments, develop care plans, and execute skilled procedures to support patient recovery.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in nursing, California RN license, 1 year acute care, BLS certification, strong communication, and the ability to adapt teaching for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required.
• 1 year recent acute care experience and/or previous nursing practice experience.
• Current California RN license required.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Written and verbal communication skills and computer skills required.
• Training opportunities for those with less than 1 year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilized pathways, notifying physicians as appropriate.
• Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs; participates in planning routine transitional health care needs.
• Adapts educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content.
• Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience.
• Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict; seeks counsel for resolution of conflict.

Pay Range

$54.43 - $73.98 /hour
