Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Ortho/Spine unit to provide safe, compassionate care during the night shift. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care and collaborate with the medical team to ensure optimal outcomes.

This full-time role offers a 7pm–7:30am schedule with every third weekend and rotating holidays, and a pay range of $37.25–$57.74 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if ADN is highest, must obtain BSN within five years of start date
• Current Illinois RN licensure
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS Stroke Scale certification required

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse - Ortho/Spine
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
• Full-Time: 36hrs a week
• Hours: 7pm-7:30am with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

What you will do:

The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need:

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, Skills and/or Experience:

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
• Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered OR
• RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Knowledge base of EKG interpretation
• NIHSS Stroke Scale certification, required

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing
• Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg), preferred
• ACLS certification, preferred
• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred
