Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ortho/Spine unit on a full-time night shift. The role is 36 hours per week, 7pm–7:30am, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

You will deliver safe, compassionate nursing care, collaborate with the clinical team, and support the patient plan of care. Illinois RN licensure and CPR are required; stroke scale training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if ADN is highest, must obtain BSN within five years of start date.
• Current Illinois RN license and CPR certification required.
• NIHSS Stroke Scale certification preferred; ACLS certification preferred.
• Inpatient nursing experience preferred; ortho/spine surgical care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care for all patient populations.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the patient care plan from admission to discharge.

Hourly Pay Range

Hourly Pay Range: $37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do

The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, Skills and/or Experience: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021) Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfatheredOR RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021 Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association Knowledge base of EKG interpretation NIHSS Stroke Scale certification, required Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg), preferred ACLS certification, preferred 1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred
