Job summary

Nebraska Medicine seeks a Staff RN on the 4/5 Lied Orthopedic Medical-Surgical unit in Omaha. This 40-bed unit handles post-operative orthopedic cases, telemetry, and complex med-surg care.

Night shift is 7:00PM–7:30AM; options for full-time or part-time; a $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered and benefits are available. New nurses join a residency program with a medical-surgical fellowship and relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or compact state license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for a designated patient group.
• Collaborate with health care providers to meet holistic care needs.
• Care environment may be long-term, emergent, or acute.
