Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Staff RN for Orthopedic Medical Surgical 4/5 Lied. This role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and works on a 40-bed med-surg/telemetry unit with diverse post-operative orthopedic cases.

Responsibilities include coordinating nursing care and collaborating with health care teams. RN residency program is part of new-hire orientation, with leadership support for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma is required.
• Effective communication skills are required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility is required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or a compact state license is required.
• BLS certification required (AHA-endorsed).
• PALS certification required for applicable department.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC or ATCN within one year or as department requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for a designated patient group.
• Environment of care may be long-term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural.
