Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for its 5B Orthopaedic Unit. You will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing hip/knee replacements, spinal procedures, and trauma care, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and educate patients and families. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
