Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, AL, seeks an experienced RN for its fast-paced Ortho-Spine unit. The role features four twelve-hour night shifts in a six-week period, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with at least one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops/revises an individualized plan of care.
• Respects diversity and collaborates with team.
• Acts as patient and family advocate.
• Provides age-appropriate nursing care per unit requirements.
• Preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or nurse clinician responsibilities.
• Communicates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to manage the unit/department.
• Models professional behavior and supports department goals.
• Assesses growth and development to meet patient age-specific needs.
• Coordinates patient care and delegates tasks as appropriate.
• Documents care accurately meeting regulatory standards.
• Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and equipment.
• Prioritizes patient care per Evidence-Based Practice.
