Job summary

Brookwood Baptist Health is seeking a registered nurse for our Orthopedics/Spine unit in Birmingham, AL. The role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced ortho-spine environment with a 6:1 patient‑nurse ratio on a 30-bed unit.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based nursing care and participate in ongoing education. The position requires graduation from an approved nursing program and current Alabama RN licensure (or valid eNLC license) with BLS;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Current Alabama RN license or valid eNLC license with BLS certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and revise care plans based on progress.
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to manage unit operations.
• Document patient care in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
• Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care across life span.
• Coordinate care and delegate appropriately within the care team.
