Job summary

Taos Healthcare in Taos, NM is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide nursing care within scope of practice in a long-term care setting. You will ensure patient needs are met according to standards, physician orders, and center policies.

Qualified candidates hold an NM or Compact RN license, with BLS/CPR certification; nursing management experience is a plus. We offer full-time scheduling with day and night shifts and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for NM or Compact required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows procedures for narcotics counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents changes in patient's conditions including nutrition, infections, skin issues, weight changes.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring in programs.
• Notifies applicable departments of patient room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
