Job summary

Rochester Rehabilitation & Living Center, part of Volunteers of America National Services, is seeking a LPN or RN for FT day shifts in Rochester, MN. The role includes resident care, medication administration, and documentation, with a team-focused, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Active MN LPN or RN licensure required.
• Effective communicator with staff, families and outside agencies.
• Ability to prioritize duties.
• Customer service oriented with knowledge of customer service techniques.
• Ability to understand residents’ charts, doctor’s orders, residents’ plan of care, medication orders.
• Ability to gather clinical data regarding resident status.
• Ability to utilize computers for timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Resident care: support nursing staff, administer medications, and assist with admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Charting and documentation: update resident charts and care plans; accurately transcribe physicians’ notes or orders.
• Provide monitoring: observe and report, participate in nurse and team meetings, ensure correct assignment based on census and care needs.
• Available to take non-delegated tasks that should be reported to an RN and communicate appropriately.
