Job summary

A healthcare organization in Jefferson City is seeking a Staff Nurse/RN or LPN to coordinate nursing care for residents at the Woodcrest Retirement Community. The ideal candidate will assist in patient education and provide leadership within the nursing team. Critical responsibilities include planning, implementing, and documenting care while promoting patients' independence. Applicants must hold a valid RN or LPN license in Indiana and BLS/CPR certification. Shift options include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with a sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid RN or LPN License in State of Indiana.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Previous experience in Senior Living is preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse credentials listed.

The RN or LPN Staff Nurse assists in coordinating person-centered nursing care for residents of the Woodcrest Retirement Community and in doing so works closely with all members of the healthcare team. The Staff Nurse participates in resident and family education and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other resident care personnel in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Adams Health Network (AHN) and the Standards of Nursing Practice. It provides an environment conducive to resident safety and comfort. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the licensed nurse.Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Good communication skills with residents and staff, able to manage a nursing unit at night and make critical decisions with other caregivers through night hours.

Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus at 0.6 FTE or Higher - RN: $20,000 / LPN: $12,000

Medical coverage on your 1st day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!

• Eligible for benefits at 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) or Higher.

Requirements:
