Job summary

SCA Health in Lexington, KY is hiring a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room to support perioperative patient care. You will assess patients, contribute to care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient surgical services.

Ideal candidates are a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an active state license, and have BLS; ACLS and PALS are preferred or required within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment, or documented current certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment, or documented current certification.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment.
• Perioperative Nursing certification preferred.

• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advance Life support (PALS)course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.
