Job summary

Adventist Health seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care and supervise staff. The RN will collect data, analyze health information, develop and implement care plans, and coordinate care with the healthcare team to ensure a safe healing environment.

Qualifications include RN licensure and CPR/BLS certifications; AHA/ARC PALS and ACLS are required where applicable. BSN preferred and acute care experience preferred.

Job description

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred

Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

Department Specific License/Certifications:

AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required

AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required

Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.

Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team.

Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.

Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
