Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to serve as a clinical expert in the operating room. The role involves education, research, coaching, direct patient care and collaboration with surgical services staff.

You will act as a change agent to promote quality and assist with ethical decisions as needed. Responsibilities include providing clinical care when caseload requires and communicating patient care and staff concerns to leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required.
• GA RN licensure and BCLS certification required.
• Advanced certification in specialty (AORN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical expert providing education, research, coaching and direct care.
• Lead consultation, collaboration with surgical services staff and ethical decision making.
• Act as a change agent to promote quality through clinical expertise.
• Provide clinical care as needed when staffing or case load demands.
• Communicate patient care and staff concerns to leaders as needed.
