Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to act as a clinical expert in perioperative services. The role includes education, direct patient care, and collaboration with leadership to improve outcomes.

You will support staff coaching, participate in educational activities and research, and help address ethical decisions in patient care, reporting concerns to leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience is required.
• RN - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure is required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support is required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty (AORN) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a clinical expert providing education, research, coaching, direct care, consultation, leadership collaboration and ethical decision making for patients and surgical services staff.
• Serves as a change agent and promotes quality through the utilization of clinical expertise.
• Provides clinical care as needed when staffing and/or case load demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leaders as needed.
