Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to act as a clinical expert for the Surgical Services team. The role includes education, research, coaching, direct patient care, consultation, and collaboration with leadership to promote quality and ethical decision making.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Nursing, 2 years OR nursing experience, Georgia RN licensure, and BCLS certification; AORN certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience is required.
• RN Georgia licensure and BCLS are required; AORN certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as clinical expert providing education, research, coaching, direct care, consultation and leadership collaboration for surgical services.
• Promotes quality through clinical expertise and acts as a change agent when staffing or caseload demands.
• Communicates patient care and staff concerns to leaders and provides clinical care as needed.
