Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Nurse RN OR Circulator to join our ambulatory surgical center in California. The nurse circulator provides nursing care under physician orders and helps coordinate patient care in the OR, acting as a bridge between the operating room and the rest of the center.

The role requires an Accredited School of Nursing graduate with an RN license, CPR and ACLS, and OR experience with both scrub and circulating duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN license.
• CPR and ACLS required.
• Minimum one year in the OR; ability to scrub as well as circulate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
