Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Renton, WA is seeking a dedicated RN OR Circulator to provide direct intraoperative nursing care, coordinate with the surgical team, and ensure adherence to safety standards in a full-time role with no on-call requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a WA state RN license (or compact multistate license), is BLS certified, and has recent OR circulator experience (scrub experience a plus). You will engage in discharge planning and patient education to support optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold WA state RN license or compact multistate license.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Recent OR circulator experience preferred.
• Scrub experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing assessment of nursing care needs for a defined group of patients.
• Develop a written plan of care based on nursing diagnosis and patient needs.
• Assist patients and families in developing healthcare goals as part of the care plan.
• Provide nursing interventions safely and competently.
• Communicate with patients and families about interventions and care plans.
• Assess the needs of designated patients requiring hospitalization and initiate discharge planning.
• Recognize and address psychosocial, cultural, and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Develop educational components for nursing care plans and provide teaching/counseling.
• Integrate health promotion and preventive care into ongoing assessments.
• Participate in continued education programs and professional activities.
