The Registered Nurse (RN) evaluates assigned patients, plans, implements, and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of a registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks with a degree of creativity and latitude. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires an associate's degree and RN certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
