Job summary

Endeavor Health in Glenview (Glenbrook Hospital) seeks a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations during the perioperative period. The nurse collaborates with the surgical team, ensuring safety and successful procedure completion.

Requirements include an approved nursing program, IL RN license, and BLS/CPR certification; BSN is preferred. A 2-year perioperative RN background is preferred, with basic computer skills for documentation

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• IL RN License and CPR BLS.

Responsibilities

• The perioperative RN provides direct patient care across age groups during the perioperative period.
• Acts as patient advocate and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safety and timely procedures.
• May orient new staff and support educational programs.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Glenbrook Hospital

• Full time

• Hours: 6:30a to 3p M-F with Rotating Call, Wkend and Holiday schedules

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, andsecuring and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education:

  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.BSN preferred.

• License/Certification:

  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association

• Experience:

  • 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
