Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a perioperative Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period. The nurse will advocate for patients, assess the surgical environment for safety, and collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate procedures.

You may also contribute to staff orientation and education while ensuring supplies and equipment are available.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• License/Certification: IL RN License
• CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience: 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
• Basic Computer Skills

Responsibilities

• The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care during the perioperative period for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Functions as patient advocate and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safety and successful procedures.
• May orient new staff, participate in educational programs, and secure/manage supplies and equipment.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will do

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.
