Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an OR RN for a 13-week assignment in New Jersey. The RN will work the 3x12 evening shift (12 hours per shift) in the operating room, applying the nursing process to perioperative care and ensuring thorough documentation.

The ideal candidate holds an NJ RN license (or multi-state compact), BLS certification, and experience in orthopaedic and robotic procedures. ACLS/PALS preferred; strong clinical knowledge and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• BLS - AHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR.

Description

Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.

This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that appropriate documentation reflects the assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments.

Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers in the operating room.

Minimum qualifications required include clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services is essential.

Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Preferred skills include advanced certifications such as ACLS and PALS.
