Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking an OR RN for an 18-month assignment. Shift: First Shift, 10-hour shifts. This perioperative nursing role supports surgical services and patient care in the operating suite.

  • Develop problem lists and prioritize patient needs with interprofessional input.
  • Design actions and interventions relevant to the patient’s context.
  • Determine outcomes in coordination with patients and families.
  • Implement therapies within policies and guidelines.
  • Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
  • Initiate actions to alleviate patient stress and discomfort.
  • Document ongoing assessments and responses to treatments.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members.
  • Monitor accuracy of delegated care and identify educational needs.

  • Facilitating timely patient discharge processes.
  • Providing input into patient/nurse assignments based on staffing and patient acuity.
  • Actively participating in unit-based activities and promoting organizational values.
