Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week contract in Alaska. You will deliver safe perioperative care and work with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Day shift 7:00–15:30 with on-call requirements; requires 1 year OR experience, active RN license (Compact accepted), and ACLS/BLS certification. Competitive travel benefits and housing assistance available.

Job Description

This position is essential for the delivery of safe and effective perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work collaboratively with surgical teams to provide optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia throughout surgical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical and nursing team regarding patient care.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient assessment.
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies efficiently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Valid RN license is required (Compact license accepted).
