Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. in Ballwin, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - OR to provide comprehensive perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

You will assess patients, formulate plans of care, document findings, and ensure safety through aseptic technique and accurate surgical site verification. You will respond to emergencies, collaborate with the surgical team, and support efficient turnover while maintaining high standards of care and patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological and psychosocial health status of patient.
• Develop and implement Plan of Care for the patient.
• Legibly document information in patient record and sign record using professional title.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Demonstrate proper preoperative process – communication/report.
• Verify surgical site identification and marking per policy.
• Demonstrates proper aseptic technique and turnover for surgical cases.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of care.

Education/ Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications

• Demonstrates current, comprehensive professional knowledge and skills in conformance with recognized nursing standards and department policies including the Patient Bill of Rights and JCAHO regulations, Standards for Nursing Care and the Nurse Practice Act.
