Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• RN licensure in Texas is required within 60 days if establishing residency.
• Five years hospital nursing experience with progressive leadership.
• BLS certification required; CPI/NVCRISIS training is expected within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assigns personnel and coordinates staffing for shifts; plans for subsequent shifts.
• Models interprofessional communication and provides organizational updates to staff.
• Demonstrates leadership skills, coaching and disciplinary action as needed.
• Drives department metrics such as turnover and patient satisfaction; supports safety and quality initiatives.
• Oversees patient flow, bed management, and general hospital operations during shifts.
