Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Operations Administrator for night shift to provide operational oversight across the organization, guiding staffing, patient care, and policy implementation. The OA will lead in emergencies, coordinate interdepartmental collaboration, and ensure clear communication to protect patient safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• RN licensure in Texas within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency).
• BLS certification (or Instructor).
• NVCRISIS - CPI certification within 90 days.
• Magnet ANCC-recognized Certification (HM) within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and coordinates staffing across shifts to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates interprofessional leadership and effective communication with staff.
• Guides policy adherence and provides coaching and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Implements improvements to reduce turnover and enhance patient satisfaction.
• Oversees bed management and patient flow to optimize hospital operations.
