Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Operations Administrator to provide operational leadership across the organization. This role directs staffing, maintains patient flow, and ensures adherence to policies while guiding clinical care and interdepartmental collaboration.

The OA will demonstrate strong communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies. PRN on nights, with non-exempt status and a focus on delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assigns personnel, coordinates staffing for shifts and future needs.
• Models interprofessional communication and provides administrative/clinical guidance.
• Leads with problem-solving and coaching to improve team dynamics and policy adherence.
• Coordinates patient flow and bed management to optimize care delivery and throughput.
